Sounds odd, I know, but it all comes together in the end, I promise! I went the southern-style route this time around, which is a little more custardy than creamy, made with beaten eggs mixed into the mac. This time, I decided that I wanted to try a baked macaroni and cheese with bacon, because, well, doesn't bacon mac and cheese sound just divine?! Bacon is one of those foods that can make any meal better in my opinion! For the cheese, you could easily use an orange cheddar or even a mixture of any other cheeses that strike your fancy, but I decided to stick with my fave white cheddar that we use in my family recipe. While my Mom's recipe is def the best, sometimes it's nice to switch it up, just for the sake of variety, you know? I actually have three mac and cheese recipes on the blog (so far!) and I don't doubt I'll continue coming up with new variations to share. My mom's recipe is our "family" recipe and I love it forever. It's no secret that macaroni and cheese is my favorite food, specifically baked macaroni and cheese made with super sharp white cheddar cheese.
